Cookidoo 1.5 update for the Thermomix TM7: the 4 changes

Since Thursday, July 30th, the new Cookidoo® software update 1.5 is available for the TM7: a few small changes that you'll actually notice in the kitchen, especially if you follow recipes with several things happening at once. Here's what's different.

1. Multiple timers

You can now set up to 5 timers at the same time, choosing each time where the recipe is "waiting": the bowl, a pan, the oven, the barbecue, the fridge, or a standard timer. Really useful when the Thermomix is working and, at the same time, something's in the oven or resting in the fridge.

2. Group the ingredients before you start

Open the recipe, go to "Ingredients", scroll through the list and tap "Group ingredients": all the ingredients are gathered onto a single screen, ready to be weighed, cut or prepped ahead, even before you start cooking.

3. Guided steps: go back with a tap

To review the previous guided step, just tap on its card, no need to scroll through the whole recipe. One thing to note: if you scroll back and forth between cards, you still need the three-dot menu to set the one you're viewing as the current step.

4. Customizable ingredient checkmarks

In the settings you can now speed up the automatic ingredient checkmark and choose to have it trigger even when the weight you've poured is lower than what the recipe calls for. A more flexible feature, useful if, like me, you always measure "by eye".
